BLEND program encourages families to participate in National Family Dinner Night Sept. 21

St. Cloud, Minn.- Research shows the more often kids eat dinner with their families the less likely they are to smoke, drink oruse drugs, and the more likely theyare to score high marks in school and eat healthier as young adults.

For this reason, BLEND (Better Living: Exercise and NutritionDaily) and its community partners are encouraging all families to participatein National Family Dinner Night Sunday, September 21. BLEND is making it easy andinexpensive by providing a healthy spaghetti dinner menu and partnering withCoborn's, Gold'n Plump and General Mills to provide these healthy food items ata reduced cost.

Adrenaline will surge on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 7:30 a.m. as the gun signals the start of the largest inline marathon in the U.S.A.! Following the same scenic course Grandma's marathoners have run along for the past 30 years, nearly 4,000 inline skaters will test their endurance in the 13th Annual NORTHSHORE INLINE MARATHON.

RACE COURSE
Enjoy the country's most scenic and exciting inline skating event along the beautiful North Shore of Lake Superior! The 26.2 mile marathon begins just south of Two Harbors and continues along Scenic Hwy 61, rolling through the I-35 tunnels, and finishing at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC).

REGISTRATION FEES
$85 For all registrations August 1 - August 31

$95 For all registrations Sept 1 - Sept 5 (online only)

$105 For all registrations Sept 6 - Sept 10 (online only)

$150 For all registrations to include early 2009 registration Sept 12 12:00noon thru 8:00pm at race packet pick-up in the DECC
